Affairs | Extra-Marital Sex | Scary Stats

In the past (and still in some countries) cheating spouses were stoned to death as a punishment for their crime. This reflects how horrible this act of cheating was viewed by people in the past.

When I say "in the past" I don't mean thousands of years ago. That's only as old as the United States. Even 60 years ago, extra-marital relationships were viewed as disgusting and humiliating here in North America.

That was in the past. Now it's different.

A child who's born within a marriage is one of the few lucky ones. Not only that. "Fatherless America" is the new description of the United States.

Men, and women actually, get to fulfill their desires without worrying about a whole generation coming after them to replace them some day without knowing how it looks like to have a family, or how should the father do.

The result is a generation who follows the steps of their parents. A generation that engages in sexual activities (extra-marital of course) early in their adolescence (Metzler et al., 1994).

The result is a generation deeply involved in drugs, alcohol, criminality, with more mental illnesses, and prone to suicide (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, 1993).

The result is a generation of children abused by their own mothers (Ditson and Shay, 1984).

This is the current generation in case you didn't do the math.

How in the world would such a generation continue to be the leader of the free world? How would such a generation pass values and morals to the next generation?

How would the next generation look like?
